Rates and timing

Shipping is a flat $6.50 per order anywhere in the contiguous United States, and free on orders over $85.00. Alaska and Hawaii are quoted at checkout because chemistry cannot travel by air.

Orders placed before 2pm Central on a business day are picked and handed to the carrier the same day. Orders placed after that, or at a weekend or public holiday, go out on the next business day. Ground transit is typically two to six business days depending on distance from Missouri.

You will get a tracking number by email when the label is created. That email is generated at label time, so the first scan may be several hours later.

How things are packed

Paper ships flat inside its own light-tight bag, inside a rigid corrugated carton with board stiffeners. It is never rolled, never creased and never sent in a poly mailer. If a carton arrives crushed, photograph it before opening and we will replace the stock.

Chemistry ships ground only. Bottles travel upright in moulded trays inside sealed secondary containment, and we do not pack chemistry in the same carton as paper. That occasionally means one order arrives as two parcels on two days; you are only charged one shipping fee.

Glass — graduates and bottles — is double-boxed with a minimum of two inches of void fill on every face.
